Fundraising dinner held in Floating Pavillion, Viaduct harbour. Raised $130,000

 

September 2008

 

Installed Solar Energy System at Ehomba School N$80,000. Visited the school with taking a huge load of books, paper, computers, projection equipment,  photo copier and teaching aids N$300,000

 

December 2008

 

First 4 students are awarded Ehomba New Zealand scholarships to attend High School

 

February 2009

 

Sent Mr Zauana to Stallenbosch University to complete a post grad paper in Education Administration.  Provided him with a laptop for study and assisted in his travel costsN$70,000

 

February 2009

 

Built fences around the school and fenced off 60 by 40 meter area for a vegetable garden.   N$50,000

 

May 2009

 

Ran another successful fundraising dinner at the Floating Pavilion raised $80,000

 

July 2009 

 

Visited School taking books, sports equipment, seeds and plants. Ran a teacher training seminar for two days, 10 teachers attended N$60,000

4 more students are awarded Ehomba New Zealand scholarships to attend High School.  Total of 8 children now at High School

Increased capacity of the Solar Energy system to meet needs of technology N$30,000

Visited School taking more books pencils sports good, teaching aids. Ran a teacher training seminar for 26 teachers for 3 days N$70,000.

Established a budget for the coming year with Mr Zauana that will require N$42,000 per year to fund.   This will mean the school will make their own decisions on books to buy and anything else that is required.

 

December 2010

 

4 students awarded Ehomba New Zealand scholarships to attend High School.  A total now of ten at high school.

 

February 2011

 

Sent funding for term one to school N$10,500.
